You have just taken the most important step of your life.  If you have asked Jesus Christ to come into your life to be your Lord and Saviour.  The Bible says that you have received Eternal Life.  Jesus said 'Truly, truly I say to you he who believes on me has Eternal Life' (John 6:47)

You have joined the Family of God.
The Bible says, 'as many as received him (Jesus) to them gave he power to become the sons of God even to them that believe in his name.' (John 1:12)   The Bible says in Luke 15 that God and all His angels are celebrating because you have come to Him !

 When you received Jesus, God made you a new person on the inside,
'Therefore if any man be in Christ he is a new creature: old things are passed away.  Behold all things are become new.' (2Corinthians 5:17)

This new creation has a new life and nature of love within: 'the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit which is given unto us.' (Romans 5:5)

We want to respond to God's love by loving Him.  This is the Christian life.

We should start on this exciting journey by praying (talking to God about things and asking His help) and reading the Bible regularly.   I recommend that you start with the Gospel of John and that you use a translation of the Bible that you can understand.

In order to grow in this new relationship with God we need to get together with other Christians and learn more about this New Life, therefore it is important to be part of a Bible believing Church.
