Introduction
In this short book on Sodom and Gomorrah, I aim to bring this dramatic judgement of God to life. Although it happened 4000 years ago it still has great relevance for us today, as a warning of judgements which will shortly take place. The same God who judged the wicked before, will also judge again. Although society has increasing become godless, God has been patient and merciful, not wanting anyone to perish, but instead to repent and receive His salvation. However, the time of grace will eventually come to an end and He will surely judge the God-rejectors of this world with Fire and Brimstone, just as He judged Sodom and Gomorrah!
As well as revealing His just Judgement of the ungodly, this story also reveals His Salvation of the righteous, as we see Lot plucked out from Sodom, just before Judgement fell, like a brand from the burning. What a picture of the Rapture of the Church!
Through a variety of pictures, I aim to show how God preserved the ashen remains of these Cities by the Dead Sea, for the purpose of being a visible sign, memorial and warning to us of His coming Judgement of Fire. We document the evidence on the ground in Israel that this great Divine Intervention actually took place just as the Bible claims. If the Bible’s history is true, then surely we should also take its prophecies seriously. There is also a 2 hour DVD available with video footage and all the pictures in colour.
